Raising awareness about perinatal and postpartum mood and anxiety disorders has become an integral part of my life since having climbed out my own personal experience with postpartum anxiety after the birth of our first child. I am participating in MKE Climb out of the Darkness to help other women, loved ones, family members recognize that they, their loved ones, are not alone in this. When you are up to your eyebrows in swirling thoughts it feels like it will consume you. You are not alone. I look forward to joining my community during this event. If you can contribute to the walk, or would like to walk as well, please feel free to donate, or visit the website to register for the walk as well. Postpartum Support International's Climb Out of the Darkness is the world's largest event for raising awareness of perinatal mood and anxiety disorders, while raising money and building community.
