Thank you so much for supporting the very first Climb Out of the Darkness walk in Des Moines! Perinatal mood and anxiety disorders are common but rarely talked about.  I have wrestled with anxiety and depression for more than half of my life and after having my son, Lincoln, I felt alone and overwhelmed.  I was lucky to find an amazing group of women who had been through similar trials during and after pregnancy.  Without these incredible women, who are some of the strongest women I have ever known, I don't know where I would be today.  All mothers should have easy access to education, resources and support specific to these disorders for the health and well-being of the entire family.
