Welcome to the Climb Out of The Darkness 2019- Philadelphia team fundraising page.
Climb out of the Darkness is an annual, international fundraiser for Postpartum Support International.
Climb out of the Darkness is committed to bringing people together, united, to honor the struggle to overcome PMADS (perinatal mood and anxiety disorders). We promote awarness, prevention, and treatment of mental health issues related to childbearing in every country worldwide. We support moms & dads, community programs and healthcare providers.
This is our FIRST year of the CLIMB here in Philly and we hope to bring in even more people and support!!! We are raising money to benefit Postpartum Support International, Postpartum Support International, The UNC Center for Women's Mood Disorders, and The Alexis Joy D'Achille Foundation.
We are mothers, survivors, supporters, and providers climbing together to let all mom know: YOU ARE NOT ALONE. YOU ARE NOT TO BLAME. WITH HELP, YOU WILL BE WELL.

EVENT DETAILS:
WHEN: September 29, 2019.
Registration begins at 9:30AM. The event begins 10AM.
WHERE: TANEY PARK (26th and Pine area)
DETAILS: We will gather starting at 9:30AM at Taney playground. At 10AM Sam and Tara will share their stories. After we will walk a route together (stroller friendly) on the boardwalk to end at a grassy noll where our friend Ashley will lead a brief family friendly yoga workout. Snacks and water will be provided.
ABOUT THE EVENT LEADERS: Samantha Casper and Tara Chizik both survived severe postpartum depression after the birth of their first children. They both have very different stories to tell but come united to bring hope and support regarding maternal mental health issues in our Philly community and beyond. We look forward to you joining us at this family friendly event.
WEATHER PERMITTING - there will be an alternate date in the event of rain.
PLEASE NOTE: There is no obligation to fundraise. We will love for you to attend and climb with us whether or not you raise money.
Postpartum Support International's Climb Out of the Darkness is the world's largest event for raising awareness of perinatal mood and anxiety disorders, while raising money and building community.
