Thank you for supporting this great cause!! I was first diagnosed with PPD after the birth of my second child. I didn’t even know what was going on. I was crying on the floor, begging my husband not to leave on work trips and at the same time wanting to be all alone. My husband encouraged me to seek help! I didn’t think I really had anything going on, just the baby blues. I went to that first appointment so nervous and scared that they would see something that made me an unfit mom. My therapist was amazing and she helped me see that there was a light at the end of the tunnel. It was a long year, a year of learning to let things go, to trust myself and how to let others help me. I was prepared for when my third child was born and set up an appointment for when she was born. I am still on medication and I will probably be for awhile. It use to upset me that in order to be a good mom I needed the help. But now I realize with out the help from friends, family, my therapist and medications I wouldn’t be able to be a mom at all. My hope is that raising this money will help other women have the courage to find the help they need, to have a support that I had and climb their way to the light!
