Climb out of the Darkness is the world's largest event raising funds and awareness for the mental health of new families. Postpartum Support International Iowa Chapter is excited to be hosting Central Iowa's first Climb Out of the Darkness event! Our Chapter is working to promote awareness and support for perinatal mental health and well-being through advocacy, prevention, and treatment efforts in the state of Iowa. The money raised during this Climb Out of the Darkness event will be used to bring training opportunities to professionals here in Iowa that work with families before, during, and after they have a baby. Postpartum Support International Iowa Chapter is a non-profit organization.
Our Climb Out of the Darkness event is open to everyone! Come and meet fellow survivors, supporters, and providers. Our goal is to bring families together and honor the struggle of overcoming Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorders while bringing awareness to local resources.
Please Climb with us on Saturday, June 22nd. We will be walking the 1.2 mile recreational trail around the lake. You can find us in Parking Lot E near Building 7 at the DMACC campus in Ankeny.
