I am Certified Postpartum Doula and support moms during their postpartum period. I am passionate about spreading the word about perinatal mood and anxiety disorders (PMAD). Many moms (1 in 7) and dads (1 in 10) will suffer silently from a PMAD. They may not know they are suffering or may know something is not right, but not know where to turn for help. The money raised from the 'Climb Out of Darkness' walk will go to our local chapter, Postpartum Support International - Iowa to help educate local doctors, therapists and other providers within our community.
Postpartum Support International's Climb Out of the Darkness is the world's largest event for raising awareness of perinatal mood and anxiety disorders, while raising money and building community.
